Oticon is the creator of BrainHearing™

The basic philosophy of BrainHearing is to support your brain by giving it the conditions it needs to create meaning from sound – instead of overloading it by turning up the volume. This reduces the strain on your brain (the cognitive load) leaving you less tired. It also gives you a more natural and pleasant soundscape, instead of simply amplifying one source of sound.

Oticon Opn™

Our latest addition to the BrainHearing portfolio, Oticon Opn, is fast and precise enough to support how the brain makes sense of sound and can handle multiple speakers simultaneously, even in the most complex environments.

Oticon Opn is a new kind of hearing aid that gives you 360° sound, constantly. Its technology works 50 times faster than the previous generation*, allowing Oticon Opn to scan the entire soundscape before reducing the noise, wherever you want to go.

Research shows that Oticon Opn’s full, 360-degree sound helps your brain understand up to 30% more speech while reducing the effort you need to listen by 20%, even in noisy environments. This free mental capacity means you will be able to remember up to 20% more*.

Oticon Opn is powered by the new Velox platform. Velox scans the environment more than 100 times per second, handling more than 1,200 million operations per second. That’s fast enough to follow rapidly changing conversations with multiple speakers in noisy environments so you can locate, follow and switch focus to the sounds you want to hear.

This proven sound generator technology is now integrated into Oticon Opn hearing aids. With these cutting-edge hearing aids, you have a wide range of customisable tinnitus relief sounds that are dynamic, yet soothing. What’s more, you can discreetly adjust the sounds using their iPhone or Android device.

Oticon Opn connects directly to your iPhone®, so you can use your phone like everyone else. Use your hearing aids like stereo headphones to talk on the phone or stream music directly to your hearing aids. Control volume and switch programs with just a tap of your finger.

Oticon Opn hearing aids can become a wireless headset for any modern smartphones, tablets and computers, using Oticon’s ConnectClip.

ConnectClip streams your phone conversations directly to your hearing aids, so you can talk hands-free, wherever you are. It works with practically any mobile phone. You can also connect wirelessly to your laptop or tablet for video calls on Skype — or for simply playing music and audio in your hearing aids.
